Bale Conveyors & Facilities

Bale Conveyors or Facilities are positioned to the outlet of the bale press installed to ensure that scrap sheets or other materials in bulks occupy less space and can be sold at a higher price. Simple chute systems installed in front of these systems in the first stage may cause bale press failures frequently by overloading the last cylinder of the bale press in case of wrong design or unsuitable physical conditions. To minimize such failures and control human mistakes, Bale Conveyors or Facilities are preferred.

Although Bale Conveyor is the simplest one of these systems, because of its pre-positioned structure similar to a chute, it can be installed to the area from where the chute is removed. In this system, bales coming from the press are transferred to the truck or case by a system specific to the bale by means of a ramp conveyor. With the fullness sensor at the end of the conveyor, the system detects the moment when the truck is full and stops, and notifies the operator. Thus, the truck is either shifted or changed. In the meantime, the system continues to operate nonstop and the conveyor piles on itself. When the system is ready again, the operator re-activates the system and all bales waiting on the conveyor are discharged to the container or truck at once.

In the Compact Bale facility, the installation occupying a shorter area in the bale conveyor covers a space almost as much as 2 containers placed side by side. In this system, by pouring from 3 points to each container, the containers are filled fully homogenously and ideal loading is ensured. Without needing the operator, after filling the first container, the system starts to fill the second container, if it is in place. At this point, it gives a warning just to inform the operator that the container is full. If desired, this warning is automatically notified to the company that has sent the scrap truck by a message and the truck that will pick the container can set off.
