Clutch Roller Conveyors can be operated on flat and minus gradient systems. Similar to the driven roller conveyors, these conveyors take the energy from the drum or gear next to the roll. However, clutch roller conveyors are generally preferred in the cases, where stock or buffer stock will be made in flat systems, if the roll is required not to make traces on the piece or wear the pieces by rotating under it, or if the engine should not be forced. In this system, there is a frictional clutch mechanism between the driven drum or gear and the roll, and when the product stops due to a stopper or leaning on the product in front of it, the roll stops rotating and although the gear rotates with the other rolls, clutch stops the roll by sliding and limits it to push the product forward. Mixed with driven rollers, clutch roller conveyors become an ideal solution that give faster response and work more efficiently.
